Graco Nautilus in 2013 Ford Focus

Driver: 5′ 10.5" male
Driving Position: upright

Notes: this is my daily driver. the seat angle of the first row makes it a little tight for the kids to climb in and out themselves, but once in, they’re fine. as they get older and switch to boosters (and then no seat at all) they’ll get lower, which means more room for them.

Notes

afloat!

accidentally shoveled off of the deck, this tugboat will be floating on snowy seas until spring.

HDR snow

wanted to emphasize the contrast. this was smooth snow yesterday, a full day of sun melted it this way.

victory!

8-10" snowblowed, as soon as the (cloud-filtered) sunlight hit the dark driveway it started taking care of the rest. a quickly slushy shovel and we’re done.

version nine point-o

this is the ninth major iteration for the design of my site, and it’s quite a doozy. i’ve been working on it a bit at a time for weeks now, finally at a point where it matches my vision so I made it public.

i had a few goals in mind when I started this round: use the latest technology – html5 and css3, and make the site’s layout and structure adapt to the fidelity of the user’s browser. i wanted to reward people who upgrade their browser, instead of punishing those people in order to coddle those stuck using (3, 4, 9 year old browsers).

i’ll do a more thorough write-up of the technology over at my web development site, but for now, enjoy and feel free to drop me a note if you have any questions or concerns.
